  1. Heart Healthy Diet : Minimum use of salt, oil, ghee and other oily substances. No use of sugar, jaggery, sweet fruits and other sweet items. Regular intake of plenty of green vegetables, 250 grams of fruits (sweet lime, orange, pomegranate, papaya, apple, raspberry, strawberry and pear), 20-25 grams of dry fruits (almond, pistachio, walnut, hazelnut). Better to use unpolished cereals.

A total of 1400-200 calories (divided into 4-6 servings) should be taken from the above-mentioned items.

  1. Regular Exercise : Adopt and encourage physical activities in daily life. Allocate 45-75 minutes daily for aerobic exercise, resistance training, yogasana and pranayama (breath control).

Take medicines and insulin regularly and on time as per the advice of the doctor.
