Physical activities in daily life were given a very important place in ancient time. Due to the materialistic progress made in last 25 years and our changed state of mind, We developed an aversion towards physical exertion and started using vehicles-machines even for the smallest activity. In earlier days, people used to do hard physical work to earn livelihood and women did household work by themselves. This gave them good exercise.
Today situation is completely different. Because of sedentary life, problems related to heart, brain, digestion and joints have increased greatly in last 20-25 years.
According to WHO – World Health Organization, 2.5 crore deaths every year in the world are directly attributed to lack of physical activities!
