As per an estimate more than 100 crore people in the world and 15 crore people in India suffer from high blood pressure. This figure is increasing day by day.
Unfortunately, half of these people are not aware that they have high blood pressure. In India, blood pressure is controlled only 15 % of the people who have high blood pressure. Rest 85% are either not aware or do not take proper treatment. This is one of the reasons why incidences of heart attack, paralysis and kidney failure are increasing in India.
All of us would make a commitment that one would inspire at least 10 people to get their blood pressure checked as measuring blood pressure is the only way to know whether one has high blood pressure or not.
